Moses and Freemasonry

In the year 622 CE, a small group of believers fled the city of Mecca to build a new life in Medina. This hijra — or emigration — not only marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar but also echoed a far more ancient narrative: the flight of Moses from Egypt. The twenty-eighth chapter of the Quran, known as Al-Qasas or “The Stories,” retells this primordial account and, in doing so, reveals timeless lessons about exile, inner transformation, and the return to light. The Historical Context of The Stories The Stories was revealed in Mecca during a period when the early Muslim community faced persecution and oppression.
